Are you a reliable, hands-on individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards and supporting a busy campus environment? Dulwich College is seeking a Site Officer to join our dedicated team. As a Site Officer, you'll play a vital role in keeping the College running smoothly and ensuring our buildings and facilities are safe, secure, and ready for use by the whole school community. You’ll be part of a close-knit team delivering excellent service for College activities, events, and external functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular campus patrols and scheduled site duties
- Set up and reinstate rooms for events and meetings
- Support daily operations such as moving furniture, unlocking/locking buildings, and maintaining public areas
- Conduct safety and maintenance checks including fire alarm and door lock testing
- Report hazards and maintenance issues via the College Helpdesk
- Act as a fire marshal and complete routine safety inspections
- Manage traffic flow, gates, and parking onsite during peak times
- Collect and manage recycling and waste as needed
- Support lost property, pupil belongings, and general site organisation
What We Are Looking For:
- A proactive, flexible team player with a strong sense of responsibility
- Previous experience in a facilities or site services role (preferred)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- A basic understanding of health & safety procedures
- Willingness to work on a rota, including occasional weekends or evenings for events
