Maternity Cover | Full-time | Independent Senior School Commence September 2026

This independent day and boarding School in North Essex has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to join our Modern Foreign Languages team. The role will require the person to work closely with the Heads of Department and teach across KS3 to KS5. The ability to offer a second modern language would be an advantage.

This role is a fixed-term position of up to one year to cover a period of maternity leave, working full-time (Monday to Saturday, 44 lessons per fortnight). The department consists of 13 staff members (covering German, French, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Turkish and Persian) and has a collegiate culture with the informal sharing of ideas within the team. The Prep and Senior MFL departments work closely with each other to share best practice and to ensure there is a clear languages pathway through the whole school.

It is essential that the successful person is committed to delivering exceptional learning to our students. Excellent subject knowledge is a must as is the willingness to fully contribute to the co-curricular activities at the School, including boarding, tutoring, sports and the activity programme.
