Teacher of Biology
Applications are invited from energetic and well-qualified university graduates or teachers seeking to be part of a dynamic and well-resourced science department which teaches the subject from Year 7 up to A-level.
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Biology teacher to join the school. This post is flexible to suit the abilities of the successful applicant, but part time would need to be at least 0.6. As a popular subject at A-level, science continues to be a source of pride of King Edward’s School and a subject which sees pupils flourish at all levels.
The successful candidate will be able to teach across the whole age and ability range, including A-level Biology.
The post would suit either an experienced teacher with a proven record of successful results, or equally an ECT, for whom a full support and induction programme will be available. We are an inclusive school and welcome applications from people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
King Edward’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening, which includes successful clearance of an enhanced DBS check, receipt of satisfactory references and a pre-employment health questionnaire. We are an inclusive school and welcome applications from people of all beliefs and backgrounds.
With highly motivated and academically ambitious students, this role is a chance to champion science, support academic excellence, and cultivate independent learning in a resource-rich environment. If you have a flair for innovation and a desire to make a real impact on young lives, we hope that you will consider making an application.
A willingness to make a meaningful contribution to the pastoral, extra-curricular and wider co-curricular life of the School is expected.
