Full Time, TTO, 1:1 Teaching Assistant – King Henry VIII Junior School
35 hours per week (08.30am until 4pm) for 37 weeks per year, temporary contract, reviewed annually.
Salary: £22,635 FTE Actual: £17,798
King Henry VIII Junior School are looking for a 1:1 teaching Assistant who is supportive, caring, resilient and sympathetic to the needs of children with ASD. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will support the social and emotional growth and academic progress of a delightful Year 4 pupil. The role will include supporting in class, working on a 1:1 basis and also providing support during transition times.

The successful candidate will be qualified to at least GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with students with similar needs. However, if you have a personal connection or real-life experience of working with people with Autism in a different setting then we would be really keen to hear from you.
