We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and appropriately qualified Teacher of English to teach across the age range Year 7 to 13.

The English Department at King’s is a highly successful department and our pupils consistently achieve very good results, often with significant value added. There are three full-time members of the department, who share the teaching of Removes (Year 9), IGCSE and A Level. They also contribute to the teaching of English in Years 7 and 8 in our Preparatory School.

All pupils are prepared for the Edexcel IGCSE courses in English Language (Specification A) and English Literature. There is good interest in the Sixth form, where we teach the OCR A Level course in English Literature.

We are keen to find a Teacher who has the ability to engage and enthuse students in the development of their language and literature skills, creating an atmosphere of high expectation, whilst being approachable and encouraging.
