The King's School Worcester is seeking one or two self-employed singing teachers who are passionate about singing and helping pupils of all ages and abilities to discover their voice.
The successful candidate will nurture our pupils’ musical abilities and prepare them for performances, exams, and personal development in singing.
We anticipate that there is the potential for up to three days of teaching from September 2025.
Responsibilities
The self-employed peripatetic teacher will:
- Teach individual (and, if required, group) lessons, catering to pupils of all abilities and across an age range of 5 to 18 years.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment to build students’ confidence and love for singing.
- Have the ability to work with singers in a variety of styles from classical, through to musical theatre and pop.
- Collaborate with the school to prepare students for exams, performances, concerts, and other musical events.
- Pay full regard to the ‘Safeguarding Responsibilities at King’s Worcester’ information included in the job description in order to actively promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils, reporting any concerns in a timely manner.
Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate skill, experience and a passion for teaching singing. Someone who will work well independently, managing their own schedule and liaising with parents, whilst collaborating effectively with the School. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding children and young people, and be willing to attend annual safeguarding training.
