Teacher of Politics (Part-time)

An engaging and enthusiastic Teacher of Politics is required to join the Politics department from the beginning of the Autumn term 2026.

The successful applicant will be able to teach A 'level politics, and experience teaching History at GCSE & A ‘level in addition to Politics would be advantageous. Experienced teachers and ECTs are welcome to apply. This is a part-time role; it is anticipated that this role will teach across 3 days per week.

Politics is a popular subject choice for our A Level students. We follow the Edexcel A Level Syllabus Route A (USA) which covers UK politics, government, core ideologies, and US politics.

Every member of staff at KGS is expected to involve themselves in the co-curricular life of the school and we particularly welcome applicants who might be able to support any of the following activities Junior Science Club, Faraday Society, Engineering Club, CCF, Community Service or those who are prepared to assist the coaching of Hockey, Rowing, Cricket or Football.

Staff are remunerated through the Kingston Grammar School salary scale, which is significantly above the national scale for teachers.
