Our Nursery
Little Pips Nursery, a state-of-the-art Early Years education facility, will open its doors in September 2025 on the grounds of Pocklington School. Little Pips Nursery was born from a vision to provide truly exceptional Early Years education. Backed by the expertise and resources of Pocklington School, the nursery will offer a nurturing haven where children aged 0 to four years can thrive. What sets Little Pips apart is its comprehensive offering, the nursery combines the expertise of highly qualified and passionate educators, inspired by the Reggio Emilio approach, with access to our art studio, Forest School and the use of 32 acres of outdoor space creating a truly holistic approach to early years care and education.

The Role
As our Atelierista, you will guide children on their creative journeys, using a wide range of artistic materials and techniques in line with the Reggio Emilia philosophy. You’ll plan and lead exciting art experiences, support children in expressing their ideas, and help them celebrate their unique creations. Working closely with our educators, you’ll weave artistic exploration into their learning and contribute your creative spark to our team planning.
You’ll take pride in managing our stunning atelier—ensuring it is well-organised, inviting, and brimming with sustainable, high-quality resources. you’ll play a key role in sharing our children’s learning stories with families and the wider community.

You’ll be part of a nurturing, innovative team working with supportive, experienced and dedicated teaching professionals along with new recruits such as yourself to create a joyful, enriching environment for young children. What you’ll receive

You will have
- A degree / foundation level qualification or professional experience in Fine Art, Art Education or a related field.
- Experience of working with young children in an educational or artistic setting, along with proficiency in a variety of art mediums
- A strong foundation in creative work, as well as a willingness to embrace and embed the Reggio Emilia approach.

You’ll be an inspiring communicator - collaborative, patient, and nurturing - with a genuine passion for supporting children’s creativity. Your organisational skills, innovative thinking, and commitment to lifelong learning will help our atelier to continue to flourish.
