We are currently seeking to fill the position of Head of EAL (Maternity cover) .
Location - Repton Preparatory School.

Terms of the appointment include:
• The appointment is subject to a term’s notice.
• There may be the opportunity to live on site, but this is subject to the availability of staff
accommodation.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of English as an Additional
Language (EAL) (Maternity Cover), who will lead our overall provision at Repton Prep, to ensure
that the school provides an outstanding educational experience for every pupil to thrive in our
care. This role is critical in helping our international pupils to seamlessly integrate into school life,
whilst being pivotal in supporting our immersive boarding experience for the family of schools.
The successful candidate will be required to provide support in the Prep, delivering specialist
English lessons whilst working as part of the wider whole school team. They will have the skills and
experience to deliver first class teaching and outcomes for our pupils. They will also have the
ability to lead a department that is positive, pro-active, organised and which operates in line with
current regulations, guidance and best practice.
A willingness to be involved in all aspects of day-to-day life in a busy boarding prep school is
essential. All staff are involved in the close pastoral care of our pupils, and the role will
report directly to the Head of Personalised Learning, Senior Management Team, and ultimately the
Head. The successful candidate will liaise effectively with the SMT, Admissions Manager, parents,
pupils and staff to ensure that every child makes good progress.
The role is required from January 2026.
