SCIENCE TECHNICIAN (PHYSICS) This position could be full-time or part-time. Hours of work 8.00am - 4.00pm (flexible working considered for right candidate), 34 weeks a year including inset days

We are seeking a pro-active and highly organised Science Technician to support the Physics Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and setting up practical resources accurately and safely and assisting staff and pupils in practical sessions. Previous experience in a similar role or within a different science career would be preferable. We will also consider candidates with science qualifications looking to support the education of pupils. Whilst a background in science support is preferred, ideally physics, no specific scientific knowledge is required. The ability to work to tight deadlines and good communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must be prepared to work as part of a team and to demonstrate a helpful attitude towards staff and pupils alike.
