Job Description – Cricket Coach (Holiday Camp)

Department: Sport

Responsible to: Head Coach of Cricket Camp

Rate of Pay: £110 per day

Overall purpose of the post:

To assist the Cricket Coaches in the delivery of high quality coaching of pupils attending a summer sports camp. The summer Cricket Camp will run Monday 3rd August 2026 to Friday 7th August 2026.

Key responsibilities:

1. To assist in the implementation of the School’s Summer Sports Camps / Academy’s.

2. To help prepare training plans and to coordinate and run training sessions, adapting to the needs of groups or individual pupils as required.

3. To keep up to date with developments within your specific sport, produce innovative ideas and ensure that best practice is adopted.

4. To ensure the Health and Safety policy is implemented and that all equipment is checked and pupils are taught how to use it safely.

5. In consultation with the Course Manager / Head Coach, carry out and regularly review appropriate risk assessments.

6. To be a positive role model, by creating a fun and safe environment within which pupils are motivated and encouraged to fully participate in the training sessions of the camp / academy.
