Finance Assistant
To be responsible to the Director of Finance for the day to day financial administration across the school.

Hours of work: Full time, 37.5 hours (8.30 am – 5.00 pm Monday – Friday)
Salary: £28,405- £30,030 p.a. (Point 4 and Point 5 on the Support Pay Scale)

Overall purpose of the post:
To be responsible to the Director of Finance for the day to day financial administration across the school.
The successful candidate would ideally have a strong financial administration background and/or be qualified or working towards a Level 3 AAT professional qualification or above.
Duties will include:
Assisting with invoice posting on the purchase ledger.
Liaising with the school’s bankers regarding transaction detail when necessary
Dealing with day to day queries from suppliers, debtors, budget holders and other staff
Processing staff expenses claims and school credit card transactions.
Maintaining filing systems including annual archiving of financial records, scanning, disposal and rotation.
Updating budget reports.
Assisting with month end procedures.
Keeping accurate data and financial records for all income and expenditure.
Working within the parameters of the financial procedures and systems of the school.
Assisting in financial year end procedures as directed by the Director of Finance.
Providing information to auditors upon request.
To provide support and cover in other areas of the Finance Department as required.
