Lettings Manager (Maternity cover)

Department: Lettings

Responsible to: COO

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks

Salary: Up to £35,750 p.a. (Point 10 on the Support Pay Scale), dependent upon experience

Role Purpose

Responsible for managing all commercial lettings and events, ensuring profitability, compliance, and exceptional client experience. Oversee all commercial activities for the school, delivering smooth operations, outstanding customer service, and driving revenue growth in line with the school’s commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for meeting or exceeding the pre-agreed annual budget figure.

The letting of School premises to third parties for residential use and events in line with the school’s commercial strategy.

Promoting, administering and supporting camp organisers in coordinating activity camps.

Development of an annual schedule of commercial activities.

Production of a plan of key tasks to support the annual schedule of commercial activities.

Responsibility for Commercial Events

Provide high-level events experience, logistical advice and support to customers.

Liaise with stakeholders and departments.

Provide leadership to the junior staff member.

Record and manage all commercial event requirements.

Liaise with clients to confirm details.

Monitor adherence to contractual obligations.

Set standards for professional service.

Publish final commercial lets plans to School departments.

End-to-end process of commercial activities

Promotion and marketing of each activity.

Dealing with enquiries and bookings.

Costing of the activity.

Recruitment of suitable staff.

Acting as front of house.

Management reporting.

Billing coordination.

Ensure H&S and safeguarding risk assessments are complete.

Liaison with other departments.

Cleaning and servicing oversight.

Ensuring due process for hires.

For activity and learning camps

Plan resourcing.

Liaise with HR.

Communicate with camp workers.

Meet and greet workers.
