Surbiton High School is seeking an inspirational Head of German to lead our successful and thriving German Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and learning while inspiring and empowering our pupils to achieve their full potential in German.

German is taught from Year 7 through to A-level, with strong pupil uptake at both GCSE and A-level. Our vibrant and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages Department also offers exciting trips to Barcelona, Rhineland, Provence, and Paris, and benefits from a native-speaker German Language Assistant. Pupils begin learning German, French, Spanish, and Latin in Year 7, and choose two languages to focus on in greater depth from Year 8. Studying a language is a core part of the GCSE curriculum.
