Withington Girls’ School, The Sunday Times’ North-West Independent School of the Decade 2021, is looking for a well-qualified, experienced Part Time Teacher of Economics to join this happy and outstandingly successful independent day school for girls

The School believes strongly in enrichment, diversity and extension and our lessons go beyond the requirements of the National Curriculum.

The Department usually has four teaching groups: 2 in the Upper Sixth and 2 in the Lower Sixth, although this may vary from year to year. Pupils achieve exceptionally high A-level results and many leave to study for degrees in in Economics, Finance, Business or Management. There is currently one full time teacher, with additional hours being taught by non-specialist staff members, due to the increasing popularity of the subject we are now looking to add a second Economics specialist.

The role of Part Time Teacher of Economics is available from September 2026. This is a permanent, part time (0.5) role. Please be advised the role is 0.5 and may be spread across 4 days per week.
